Mangoes are one of my favorite fruits of all. It's the best thing about summers in India. It just brings me a lot of joy. As a kid I used to eagerly wait for the box of fresh mangoes every summer. Every year on his way back from a work trip, my dad would make sure he gets a box of mangoes for us. I would then sit in my veranda with my plate full of mangoes, smearing it all over my face and clothes and completely upsetting my mom. Any guest who visited us during this time would be served some amazing fresh mango milkshakes and that always reminds me of some nice family times. Me and my sister would be on our best behaviour just to score some extra milkshake. Every time mom cut up a mango for us, we would fight over who got more pieces and of course who gets to eat and suck the flesh around the seed. So, towards the end of this summer, with a lot of nostalgia, I decided to bid farewell by preparing my favourite milkshake. Hope you like it as much as I do.
