Panna cotta is an Italian dessert made with gelatinized milk and cream. This rose flavoured panna cotta is a perfectly light, silky, creamy with the perfect subtle rose taste and floral aroma. I stumbled upon some beautiful dried rose buds on my recent visit to the international store (the very place where I get most of Indian groceries from) and decided to try making a nice rose infused panna cotta. With just a few ingredients and some love, this dessert is the best thing to calm your sweet cravings.
SERVES: 2
PREP TIME: 10 mins
COOK TIME: 15 mins
- 2 sheets of gelatine
- ¼ cup water
- 200ml milk
- 250ml full cream
- 2 tbsp rooh afza syrup
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 3 spoons sugar
- few dried rose petals
1. Soak: In a small bowl, soak the gelatine sheets for 10mins.
2. Mix: In a saucepan add milk, cream, vanilla, rooh afza syrup, sugar and rose petals. Keep the gas on low to simmer and keep stirring. Squeeze the water out of the gelatine and add it to the mixture. Keep stirring till the gelatine is completely dissolved. Now pour the panna cotta into your mould. Make sure you don't fill it till the brim. Garnish with some dried rose petals or pistachios and refrigerate for at least 4-5 hrs and enjoy.
